I saw some Oilers blogger discussing the possibility that the Oilers may have 3 x 40 goal scorers next season with Kane playing a full season like it's some massive accomplishment of superiority. It's like they don't even realize the Flames had 3 x 40 goal scorers this last season as well as a 35 goal scorer. Blatant disregard for all the teams around them.

I can't wait for this upcoming season when Jack Campbell shows he is an inconsistent backup, the Oilers give up the most goals in the NHL thanks to that putrid D, Evander Kane is hated by his teammates by December, and they end up missing the playoffs. Their new coach will turn into a pumpkin and McHobo will be demanding a trade. It will be beautiful.

The guy is extrapolating from one month of hockey and chalks the rest up to Campbell being injured. So it's now a guarantee that he will be a perpetually healthy player with the Oilers under a tougher/bigger workload?

It's happened so often over the last decades, chronicled by many explayers coaches and GMs and agents on how they get sold and lied to on going there, you wonder why players still think it won't happen to them or the culture will change. It hasn't and it won't, but the sales job is done, he is in the door and locked down for the next number of years.
