Thanks, Ninja...But, these moves were inevitable, especially given the turnover at GM, and front office.
My guys just had a dearth of talent at D and Goaltending, and the assets we had were at forward. Getting nothing for Strome and Kubalik was poor management by the prior regime. It all boiled down to the dice roll of going for Jones and Fleury being massive strategic errors. Time has caught up to Toews, and Kane is the last piece with high value. DeBrincat, on his own, would have not been wise to keep, given that they wanted draft picks for this year's 1st round, getting some picks was a logical start.
BTW...the 'Hawks bought out Borgstrom and Connolly.
