The Oilers scored the fewest goals against the Flames so far in the playoffs in game 3. Goals against is trending in the right direction.

The way I look at it is they can’t play worse than the last 2 periods of game 2 and the first 2 periods of game 3. They also played well in the 3rd period of game 3.

I think that will carry over into game 4. I think this is positive.

One good effort in game 4 and Calgary has home ice, momentum back in the series and all of Edmontons offensive output up to this point means nothing.

Best effort of the season in Game 4 just like they did last series against Dallas.

Not worried at all, they got this. I expect them to look like the real Flames in game 4.

We were down 2-1 against Dallas and played much better in those 2 losses.

The 2 losses in this series were more the Flames getting away from their game.

In other words, we’re in a better spot after 3 games than we were in round 1.

Go Flames Go!!

This is the time for Sutter to get the team focused properly and guys like Coleman, and Toffoli to step up in the room.

Best of 3 with home ice is possible.

Edmonton looked unbeatable after winning games 2, and 3 in round 1 and then found themselves down 3-2 to the Kings. Flames get a win in game 4 and come back to the Dome for a pivotal game 5 and take back control of the series.

One team has had an all season mantra of "stick with it"

The other team has a propensity for arrogance.

This ain't over.

Win tomorrow and it’s a best of 3 with home ice advantage in the second round. Enjoy the ride everyone!

I’m cheering for Calgary to win not so much that I enjoy the team any longer but in that I love coach sutters pressers!

Dumb reporter: what did you say to Jacob when vladar was going in, in the third?

Sutter: marky vladdy’s going in

Lol

As glum as today feels, with a win tomorrow Sutter can walk into the room after the game and say "Good game, best of 3" and walk out.

On the bright side the Oilers have scored:

Game 1 - 6
Game 2 - 5
Game 3 - 4

If this trend continues Flames in 7 with a Game 7 shutout win!

Feeling even better today.
Oilers have one line, a line that is excellent when given the opportunity, but that opportunity arises by hoping to win the puck battle, get a favourable tip/bouce or have a puck hop over a stick.

It's what's lead to the last 6 Oiler goals.

Very confident the Flames can shore that up. The Oilers don't get those Game 2 bounces and breakaways, it's a 2-1 series. Some of those puck battles or bounces don't allow 3 on 2s yesterday and Tkachuk pots his, and that could've been much different last night.

Some guys need to play with more confidence, the team has shown that they can bounce back pretty well, and get back home ice tomorrow.

Gaudreau still has good numbers, all things considered.
I've generally liked Lindholm throughout the playoffs. And where would the Flames be without the emergence of Stone?

The Heat are firing on all cylinders.

If the Flames can hold McDavid to fewer than 3 points, and Markstrom puts up a save percentage over 90%, then I think the Flames win most games against the Oilers.
These are not crazy asks.

Battle of Alberta can't go 7 if both teams don't lose 3.

By getting back to playing the way that made them successful all year, they have a great chance of winning the series. They're a very good team who didn't just suddenly forget how to play at a high level. They'll absolutely bring it tomorrow night!

Being a Flames fan doesn't come without the emotional rollercoaster ride of wandering near the edge a few times only to reel it back in.

I suspect this is just another one of those times.
