I've seen quite a few. I think we need a round or two to get the casual fans into it.

So you're going to curse us in the second round instead?

If your team is leading, you are more likely to be called. And the larger the lead, the more that increases. This article shows how game management affects the frequency of calls, and how that is more pronounced in the playoffs:

https://soundofhockey.com/2021/06/12...-the-playoffs/

Discipline has little to do with it.
That is nothing new as game management has long been an NHL issue that is ingrained in the culture of officiating and it's also the way people running the league like it. If the officials are going to turn a mild infraction into a penalty they are going to do it and there is nothing you can do about it but you don't want to compound the issue by adding really easy calls to make due to lack of discipline so yes discipline still comes into play. Five powerplays is too much to give up whether a couple of them were game management calls or not.

Those situations in round 1 have tended to work out well in the past but not what I'm hoping for here.

Stars will be hungry, no one wants to go down by two games.

This will be a good game tonight.

It’s my 34th birthday today, so hoping for a 4-3 victory.

This day is going by way too slow.

Hoping to see another game where Dallas gets nothing.

Talking about penalties no way Dallas goes 0-5 on the pp tonight. Hopefully Flames can put a couple PPs in the net tonight get a feeling there's gonna be more goals then 1 today. Dallas is going to be tough tonight hope Flames game plan leads to a 2-0 lead in the series

Too close. 34-0 sounds better.

And Happy Birthday!

I know the flames are feeling concerned about those rough and tumble Stars:

100% true. And to add, as fans its fine for us to complain about the officiating; it's part of being a fan, but for the players the mindset must be all about discipline all the time. It is the only thing they can control.

So the Flames have lost 10 straight game 2’s (11 if you count the play-in) with the last game 2 win against the Sharks in the WCF in 04
04- Tampa
06- Anaheim
07- Detroit
08- San Jose
09- Chicago
15- Vancouver
15- Anaheim
17- Anaheim
19- Colorado
*20- Winnipeg
20- Dallas

Time to change the narrative.

So is this going to be a thing now? I believe most Flames players were exempt for awhile because they tested positive in December; seems ridiculous that this is still an issue (especially with the team flying a direct charter).

Putting my 5 year old in the car this morning, he asked to have my Flames car flag in his window for the drive tko school.

Last night he asked to go on a plane to Calgary so he could watch the highlights (due to the 11pm start times we watch the extended highlights on YouTube the next day).

The brainwashing is proving to be successful.

Yes.

And I'm guilty as charged. I've been 100% absorbed into these playoffs, I just haven't got around to digging out the flag and putting it up. Maybe others are in the same boat.

As another poster alluded to, flags on cars require a doubletake to make sure they don't accompany a f#%$ Trudeau sticker and are in fact Flames flags. Unfortunately the world we live in these days.

Honestly I haven't put the car flags up this year due to the freedumb convoy ruining the meaning. Car flags and flag waving is just not the same these days.
