Carolina is playing smarter, I don't think they're even outplaying the Bruins. They just don't give up many chances at all and wait for their opportunities.

Just saw the Raanta play…kinda crazy that BOS did a careless + usually harmless play that knocked out CAR’s starter, and then a harmless but usually suspendable stick swing to the backup. Net outcome of only 1 minor penalty is pretty odd.

It does help that they have players that can help get the scoring too though. DeBrusk and Coyle both had a solid game. But, as you said, their top line always steps it up during crunch time. Flames fans cannot say the same thing if we were down 2-0 in a series. Marchand/Bergeron/Pastrnak have the Bruins back in a best of 3 series.

Flames are capable of turning things around just like the Bs have done. Top line has to be their best line!

Debrusk had a terrible game. Was a -2 and getting crushed 5 on 5 by the Staal line. If it wasn't for Boston's 9 powerplay opportunities, he and Coyle would've worn goat horns.


This seems to be shaping up to be a homer series, since Carolina can match Staal's line vs Perfection in Raleigh, but have no answer in Boston.

Evenly matched teams; extremely tight series that came right down to the wire! Congrats Canes fans. I think your team takes whoever comes out of Pittsburgh/NY without much trouble, especially if Andersen is back between the pipes.
