Too many cringe-y player references - wanna know part of why In Da Dome was good / caught on? The lyrics are almost timeless. Aside from Jarome and Kipper (who were face of the franchise players everyone knew) you could release that same song today and still be relevant.

And a cover of All We Need is a Miracle too, but I couldn't find either online. Miracle might have been '86 even. Probably was, but I can't quite remember. As a young lad, I do remember recording it onto cassette off of AM106!

I remember there was also a version of Sly Fox' "Let's Go All the Way" in '86.

Definitely applaud the OP's friend's efforts. Song isn't my cup of tea, but that's on the original song rather than the parody song. I've honestly never actually listened to the original song until this thread. My niece keeps trying to convince me to listen to it, but I'm not a fan of kpop, so was never interested in it. The lyrics to the parody song were pretty well done IMO.
Too many people trying to force this kind of thing. The appeal of 04 was everything was organic...it just happened. Since then everyone has been trying to recreate that magic and it's just not going to happen.

I admire the creativity, never heard of the song before and not my kind of music. Like another poster I thought it might be a riff on Moves Like Jagger. For reference I'm 50 so I'm sure that group isn't in my demographic.
Enjoyed the parody, thought it was an original song at first, so my expectations were set at "aspiring sound cloud musician". Is this reallybone of the biggest songs in the world rn? I feel old
Personally, the lyrics are good, but as someone who has come to enjoy a lot of BTS songs - thanks to my Fiancee, I can understand that they're not for everyone. You have to know your audience.
I think this could be quite good with some polish on the vocals as some have pointed out. That high hopes remix from 2018/19 was fantastic.
Props for creativity! I don't know the song, so I must be older than last week. Fun story: When I went to a Canucks-Flames game at (then) GM Place in 2006, I sang "chillin in the Dome with Jarome" VERY loudly and had a beer thrown at my head. We won 3-2. Iggy and Warrener scored, if I remember rightly. Fun times.

Nice one Puppet Guy!! I must have that on a cassette somewhere. Loved that one at the time.
I can remember these lines...
"Otto to Mullen...pass to Peplinski"
"It's the Battle of Alberta, they're trying to work it out. Hunter and Semenko...make the fans scream and shout"
"Flames go all the way...yeah yeah yeah, Flames go all the way"
