LA only has 6 games left I believe. Going to need to win 5.

Vegas' schedule is only slightly more difficult and they have an extra game of runway.

I take a little solace in knowing that this pretty formidable Vegas team with healthy stars is going to run Edmonton's show.

I'm not really going to worry about a meeting with Vegas right now, more concerned with us playing at a level that will get us past the first round.

I'd by lying if I said I wasn't concerned the same deer in the headlights team will show up again this post season. Guess I'm a bad person.

Sutter's not happy by the looks of it

That's a lack of preparation on the players parts, on the team's part and I'll take responsibility for it. You know what if it's stuck with the process of letting them... if you give them[the players] a little bit[of leeway], you've got to take it back, that's the way it works

You are free to worry if you want...they are playing Nashville or Dallas who have worse records of late despite fighting for their lives. Both lost tonight.

Flames weren't gonna run the table here

I think Calgary's B game could beat LA or Dallas. With Vegas rising, the possibility of LA in WC1 is more feasible.

Colorado was a top team disguised as an 8 seed. The team we play this time won't be that. And we're undeniably better.

Yikes, that is one disappointed coach. He's exactly right in that the team let Markstrom down tonight.

I don't see a universe where they bring an effort like this in game 1 of the playoffs under Sutter.

Maybe one where they all have deer antlers, but still not one where they bring an effort like this.

I think Darryl might have a "discussion" with the boys soon, maybe even tomorrow. He was really not amused after the game.

Golden Knights? Silver Linings.

The hockey gods weren’t going to let the Flames back in on this night

They just won 5. Vegas was desperate. They were flat

Good story for Calgary boy Thompson. Nice first game playing in the dome for a guy who correctly liked Kipper. Now that the feel good story is done with, he never needs to win for Vegas here again

Vegas will be more likely to eliminate the greasers imo

That’s all. Park it and wipe the floor with them in round 2

Its almost like the preseason....you want to be ready to go but you don't want to get hurt.

Playing a team with everything on the line

That is why strength of schedule at this time of year is meaningless. If positioning isn't only the line how do you expect a team to go all out. Flames can't prove or disprove anything until the playoffs start.

Like the comments from Sutter. Been a lot of media attention surrounding individual milestones and achievements and that’s taken away from team goals. I’m sure he will be sending a rather stern message and remind them that real success is about securing wins.

Haha lord, those questions.

Did we bring in junior high reporters to ask mr. Sutter their questions tonight?

Please, kids. He's a two (three) time cup winner. Let's come up with questions he doesn't have to baby step us through the answers to.

Here are some more positives from the game:
Regher at the game wearing a Kipper jersey was an awesome story. I also liked Leslie interviewing Gaudreau's parents during the intermission.

That's rather telling.

Why does a quality young man like that have to go to funkin Vegas of all teams?

Feels like good Calgary kids always go to places where they can hurt Calgary the most.

There's a lengthy list in my head already.

It seems like the last few Sutter media availabilities after the game on twitter are only attended by like two/three reporter, sometimes I recognize Francis voice.

Who is asking these questions?

Does the team limit the reporters and/or amount of questions? Are the rest of the local media not present? How about the away media. Seems like amateur hour for Sutter.
