haven't we won at least twice in that scenario this year (?Dallas)

what he rarely pulls is his backup. I remember an early game where he held in there with Vladar (who got a point or won that one too?)

Big 2 points, lots of monkeys off of backs.
  • Gaudreau 100 points, and he needed that one, since the first line was trying to force it. The whole team looked so much more relaxed after he got the point.
  • Mangiapane finally finds the net. He had a good look on his first shift, but he looked snake-bitten.
  • Vladar came in huge
  • Can't blame Markstrom, and I think Sutter warned him that if he lets in the 3rd goal Vladar will start in the 3rd period.
  • MacKey had a rough game in my opinion
  • The D looked shaky, our strength all year needs to work some things out
  • Hanifin has found his scoring touch, and has some chemistry with Stone on the PP
  • The 4th line looked bad without Carpenter
  • Chucky with the most nonchalant hat-trick
  • Good line shuffling by coach
  • We get the sweep, increase the lead on EDM

Too bad Gio wasn't here for Tkachuk to rub it in his face!

Gaudreau has surpassed Makarov in the NHL!!!! Call me Sergei Gaudreau!!

Sutter calls Gaudreau "consistent"... I think that's about the highest compliment a player can be given in Sutter's mind.

I thought Markstrom was actually excellent considering the effort the team put up in front of him. He kept it close enough for them to come back.

Now make it 6 against Vegas.

He did it in Dallas and got the same result. He wanted to give the team some life so he changed the goalie and lines.

Fair, I don't remember every game. I just remember a press conference with him mentioning his extreme reluctance pulling a goalie. Saying it's up to the team to figure it out.

Yeah he did say that last year. Probably so when he has to pull the goalie it has a bigger impact on the team.

Perfect night in the OOT as far as what’s good for the Flames and awful for the Oilers. A Vegas win is the only thing that would make it even worse for Edmonton

Man, Tkachuk just cannot make a pass to save his life. He didn't have a single assist!

Maybe if he learned to simplify his game, he could do something in this league.
