It’s a new thing they started couple years ago. Happened a handful of times.

The player was bleeding, so the refs can have a look at it.

What’s interesting is that if the player wasn’t cut, they wouldn’t be allowed to review it and there would be no penalty.

That's the slump buster this team needs. Man that was some terrible officiating.

Now, to business.

Total lack of discipline. The Flames took eleventy penalties, and every one of them was totally deserved, especially the one by that big bad evil goon Gaudreau. Somebody get him off the ice before he kills again!

And of course, meh was right. The Flames couldn't hold on for a single point.

Hell of a character win, and a terrific effort overall! Flames had to fight off both the Kings and the officials in that game, and they managed to pull it out.

Gaudreau an absolute beast, as was the entire 1st line.

Markstrom was excellent from the 2nd period on. That's exactly what we need from him.

Much better defensive effort as well. And the PK in the 2nd and 3rd periods was outstanding.

Now if we can just get the secondary scoring going, we'll be in good shape.

That was a character win.
  • Gaudreau was awesome.
  • Tanev and Gudbranson were rocks on the PK.
  • The 4th line was noticeable in a good way.
  • Faceoff wins, especially on the PK were clutch.
  • We still need to figure out the chemistry with the 2nd and 3rd lines.
  • Zadorov looks hurt.

The PK came up huge tonight saving the win for the Flames.

Nice to see the Flames back to playing the style of game that got them all those wins. Great on the forecheck and tight defensively. And of course the top line and Johhny retrun to form.

It wasn't even the standard for both teams and you expect it to be a standard for all games?

Flames got PDO’d again but managed to win which was good. Lots of missed opportunities to put this one away

At the same time, it seems like the Flames are giving up high danger chances at a much higher rate than before. Markstrom had to be huge tonight.

Woooo, nice win.

Also is there a way to quantify how often this year the flames have been screwed by the refs?

Can’t believe that they video reviewed it…and still got it wrong!

Take the 2 points and await yanet and ATL.

If those little stick pokes to the hands were called like that the last 5 years, Johnny would have been a PPG player a long time ago.

Hopefully they keep making those calls in the playoffs if they're going to make them at all.

It would be great to see some secondary scoring again, but I thought all of the lines played well, even though it didn't show up in the goals for. Especially that 4th line; that was Lucic's best game in the last month.

Nice win. Great efforts! Love Ruzicka in the lineup! Only bad thing is bad penalties.
