I'll never ever forget how excited I was a kid to land his rookie card.

Loved what Brunt said, "Has there ever been a more prolific goal scorer?" Straight up LEGEND. RIP Mike Bossy. You were a hero to so many of us.

I remember meeting Bossy at a card show in the 90's. Great person who enjoyed talking with the public.

RIP Mike

Devastating news for someone who used to only settle for the Bossy Titan stick as a kid, and “was Mike Bossy” in every street hockey game played… even when stuck in net.
Bossy said there is no such thing as a natural goal scorer

Very sad indeed. I enjoyed his colour commentary of games on TVA Sports in french.

TVA Sports has basically been running Bossy montages all day

Sad to hear that the inevitable has happened, although by the sounds of it was only a matter of time. RIP to one of the Greats. He lived a great life, and it's unfortunate that he was taken so soon.

Something else about all his goal scoring, is that this is a guy who played 5 straight years going to the end of the playoffs. So to play all those playoff games and keep scoring like he did was really remarkable.

Well as of 2022, male life expectancy in Canada is almost 83 years. For wealthy male Canadians, it's even higher.

Of course life expectancy is measured from birth with constant mortality patterns, but still.

My point is, cancer sucks. It may have robbed a good many of 18+ years of time.
