Agreed. Garrett is a homer and, worse, a whiner.

Shorthouse carries him on his back

The refs get together and reverse a penalty on Gio. I bet that doesn't happen if he's still a Flame or Kraken.

Vancouvers playoff chances run like a slasher flick, you know they're going to die but they will make more come backs than Jason from Halloween before it finishes

It's one regular season game though.. we have lost to the flyers, sabres, sharks, habs and senators...

if vancouver somehow gets in and we draw them (i know probably like a 1% chance) that would just be incredible.

It would mean the Oilers were out and that would be glorious

It does, but it doesn't solely win games.

You need to be able to put 3 goals on the board from night to night too, typically, to have success.

Plenty of examples of New Jersey Devils-like teams past that got amazing goaltending and lost a ton of 2-1 games.

If the Flames draw Vancouver that would mean Vancouver got 7th. So for the Oilers to be out means Vegas was able to get it together and get 3rd in the Pacific.

Halak plays lights out and Holland is at home thinking "Maybe I should've given them that 4th round pick for him...

Halak's a good tender. Obviously a guy that has longevity too.

Holland missed so many busses, all of which were better than the pair he's saddled with now. Bless him.

So what? Colorado has lost to the Devils, Coyotes, Senators and Blue Jackets.

Possible, but unlikely. Still wouldn't want to play the Canucks in the first round. They are playing with nothing to lose, which can be dangerous.
You are a Canucks fan no? It certainly seems like it.

Canucks would be an easy out IMO, as easy as it gets anyway. Nashville, Minny, ect. are way better teams...Canucks won't be WC1 anyway even if they make it by some miracle.

There's a better chance for this to happen in round 2.

Yep, just like on the Canucks radio, Batchelor carries Hirsch on his back.

The Devils were brutal when they were on the PP, just 1/4 and allowed 2 SHGs! Gotta give credit to the Leafs for going on the offense even being down a skater. The GWG was a SHG scored by Engvall with under 5 minutes left in reg time. Mrazek was in net and got the win for the Leafs. The Devils did a good job on the PK at 3/3, but, it wasn't enough.

Halak was a surprise to be in net for the Canucks. He stopped 32 shots as the Canucks shocked the Avs hometown crowd. They saw their team lose in reg time on home ice for only the 4th time this season. The Canucks PK was 4/5. All the scoring was in the 3rd period.

The Penguins wee 2/2 on the PP with Crosby getting 2 points on those goals. The Sabres did win in the SO, but, the Penguins are simply on cruise control towards the playoffs.

The Ducks just can't win as their slump continues. Kane had 1g, 2a for the Bhawks. The bright spot for the Ducks had Sam Carrick score twice in the game.

Only way the Canucks are getting in now is if Demko activates god mode for the rest of the season. If that happens, all bets are off, as the Leafs, Jets, and Knights found out last year against Carey Price.

This is true.
