Not exactly. Lindholm was drawing comparisons to Peter Forsberg in his draft year. He was my pick for Calgary heading into that draft, and it was with the expectation that he would be a Selke-type top-line centre.

It's probably about 50-50. You have the hyped guys like Mackinnon, McDavid, Matthews. But you also have guys like Point, Aho, Bergeron not from round one or guys like Scheifele, Kuznetsov, Zibanejad, etc who weren't hyped as much and went mid 1st round. Lindy was a 5OA, which is higher than a lot of teams' centres were drafted.

ETA: Lindy may be the best 5OA since Carey Price.
