The Oilers are now as close to 11th as they are to a playoff spot.

Looking at it in baseball terms, this is how the Oilers compare to the other teams in the race:

2) LAK: +2
3) VGS: +1.5
7) DAL: +2
8) NAS: +1.5

10) ANA: -1.5
11) VAN: -1.5

Or, in games above .500 terms:

LAK: +12
VGS: +11
DAL: +12
NAS: +11
EDM: +8
ANA: +5
VAN: +5

Yep, everything worked out. The Blues losing in OT and getting a point also helps in lowering the Oilers playoff chances.

That OT goal, the Sharks argued Anaheim had too many players on the ice. They say Henrique wasn't far enough out of the play and it sure looks like it was too many men. Here's the link to it, https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article...us-blown-call/

If you watch the replay, it is absolutely too many men as the player coming off is literally still standing on the ice when the oncoming Rakell accepts the pass. However, I'm assuming the play isn't reviewable for too many men, only offside. In this case, it was clearly onside so I think that's why the review was so quick.

Wel designed play, but it 100% should have been a penalty when Rakell touched the puck.
