Kind of feel bad for Woodcroft. I don't know anything about him, but to get your shot coming up from the AHL to that disaster doesn't bode well. It's a a move you have to take, if you're him, but at the same time it's probably a career ruining move.

Now Tippett can go back to doing what he loves... Not coaching the Edmonton Oilers.
I suspect he'll be behind the bench in Seattle next year, which will make the Pacific weird with Eakins in Anaheim, McLellan in LA, and Tippett in Seattle... all finishing ahead of the Oilers.

I know the fans thought Tippett was the problem, but man he's the only coach that had that team playing with even a little bit of defensive structure and responsibility.
