Obviously with how Valimaki responded, he was much more worked up than otherwise appeared, and that tiny shove by the ref to Valimaki’s shoulder inflamed him even further. Not a good situation the whole way around.
You got this from that video? Wow good mind reading of 3 or 4 people.

Be as dismissive as you like, the signs are there.

I suppose it’s not surprising that they crack down hard on any hint of abuse towards and official in a developmental league. A lot depends on the perception of the ref though.

Looks like he steps on a stick and that causes about 98% of the contact as he puts his arms out and tries not to fall. Seems like an awfully liberal use of the rules to term that abuse of the officials.

Unless entirely accidental, you cannot make contact with an official. Full stop and for very good reason.

This is the rule at every level and in any sport. There is nothing to be surprised nor complain about here IMO.

3 games is the rule....he clearly broke it and will face the consequence.

What does this have to do with Sutter liking him? A guy like D Sutter would respect the hell out of Valimaki standing up for himself/teammates regardless of who it is. This is a non issue.
