Trevor Lewis (0) Shots: 39, Expected Goals: 3.3, SH%: 0.00%
Tyler Pitlick (0) Shots: 18, Expected Goals: 1.5, SH%: 0.00%
Brett Ritchie (0) Shots: 20, Expected Goals: 1.1, SH%: 0.00%
Sean Monahan (2) Shots: 33. Expected Goals: 3.5, SH 6.1%
Brad Richardson (2) Shots: 13, Expected Goals: 1.2, SH%: 15.4%
Mikael Backlund (3) Shots: 42. Expected Goals: 3.6, SH%: 7.14%
Dillon Dube (3) Shots: 49, Expected Goals: 5.1, SH%: 6.12%
Coleman: (5) Shots: 91, Expected Goals: 7.7, SH%l 5.5%

Big thing here though is part of that is percentages too.

These 8 forwards have combined for 15 goals. But they have combined for 305 shots on goal, and a 4.9% shooting percentage, which is a crazy low shooting percentage even if these guys aren't the best finishers.

If they had the 27 expected goals instead of the 15 actual goals we'd probably be a little less worried about the forward depth, but finishing talent does seem to be an issue with this team.

Hopefully they just continue to generate shots and chances and the puck starts to go in.

On the flip side...Gaudreau, Mangiapane, Tkachuk, Lucic, and Lindholm have combined for 40 5v5 goals on 283 shots, from 30.6 expected goals, and are shooting 14%. So that's probably a little high and will normalize in the other direction a bit too.

It is inevitable that Corey Perry will score a goal against us.

Probably one that is particularly heartbreaking too. Because this is the way and always has been. No matter what sweater that demonic nemesis puts on.

These seven players have combined for a grand total of just 10 five on five goals this season over 31 games in roughly 2000 minutes of hockey.

I don't know how that stacks up league wide - but the secondary scoring on this team is certainly a large concern.
Lewis has 2.

I remember that game. My buddies and I were at our watering hole at the time FATS in Kensington. They used to have a promotion called “get pucked at FATS” (I sure they had it at other bars). You get a puck with the players number and if the player scores you got a pint per goal but if they got a hat trick you got a pitcher for the 3rd goal. We had both Iginla and Husselius at our table. Got extremely hammered for very little money that night

Hate to see a cup caliber coach get dragged down by a lack of depth quality. Really hope Brad has a move or two up his sleeve.

For now, can only cheer on the team we have though. GFG

Not 5 on 5. But even strength. They and his shorty count to me as pretty darn clutch.

Interested in the team reaction after what I think was a mediocre and unintelligent performance. Unintelligent as in they didn’t do what they’ve been coached to do, and got totally sucked into Florida’s game style.
