What an unbelievable depiction of death from a third party POV. Amazing episode.

I can understand why people gave this show a try and didnt stick with it. It's a hard first few episodes watching these spoiled cnuts. but this show is absolutely unreal

Yeah, it was amazing seeing the kids react to that, trying to reconcile their simultaneous love and hate for him. And It was written where I still thought, until Frank and Karl chimes in that he might be Logan was testing them and Tom in a cruel way.

The official podcast was really good. Last episode had Brian Cox discussing this and his role in general. It’s funny listening to him because he sounds exactly like Logan but at the ends of his words is where you get that strong Scottish accent. And he played the first few episodes believing his character was from Quebec.

I am not sure what to trust, actually. Roman’s whole, “maybe I am serious, maybe this is a negotiation tactic, who knows?” towards the end got me questioning everything.

Also, did they forget to circle Shiv in about deliberately tanking the deal? I thought they said they were going to, but didn’t see them convene after.

Kendall is barely even tolerating Roman as CE-bro and they officially share the title. He clearly has no interest honouring the behind the scenes deal they made with Shiv, even referring to her as Pinky.

This has backfired though as she now has her own direct line to Lukas and had obvious influence on the kill list, sparing Tom. ATN is basically hers and she can now use it to turn against the nazi republican candidate.

I agree with most of your post, but FWIW Logan used to refer to Shiv as Pinky, so for all we know, it could be some familial nickname.

To me, it seemed like Matsson out-played the Roy boys by making the offer directly to Frank. Kendall and Roman lost their ability to spike the deal and didn't look too thrilled... Matsson even called Shiv to get a photo of their faces hahaha.

yes that was Logan's pet name for her and used it when he wanted to endear her, but Ken uses it derisively, i.e. "can Pinky dance?". he obviously doesn't believe she can, because even to her face he refers to all her past Waystar experience as "Daddy make work". ever since he saw his name underlined (?) on that letter, any intention of remaining allied with his siblings went out the window.

The whole point is for it to be ambiguous. Trying to assign which it is would defeat the plot device.

I find that a weak point in the writing. Underline doesn’t carry the same significance to the intention as crossing it out does. Almost everyone is going to lean “crossed out” considering the timing and events. They should have found a better way to send the leadership in that direction.

Was I the only one thinking that Tom was going to kill himself during that fight? Thought that sequence was incredibly tense and well done.

I didn't really understand why Shiv was so upset finding out Matsson was lying and saying she was stuck with him. It seemed to me her options were open, and she could jump back with the bro's with no one being the wiser. If it came out, she could just use the "exploring" escape.

I also don't know what is in it for Waystar to buy GoJo after finding out they are frauding it out. Why would Ken propose that?

Felt the same thing. Didn't make a lot of sense unless she thinks Matsson would out her if the deal doesn't go through.

They're winging it. Not much is long analyzed but just jumping from "plan" to "plan".
