It does. The Flames have finished their two longest road trips of the season already and one of their three 4 game trips.
From here on out, they have a 4 game Eastern trip at the beginning of January, another 4 game West Coast trip at the beginning of April, and a 3 game Central trip to end the season. From January 8 to April 2, they don't have any trips that are longer than 2 games.
Currently, no team has played more road games than the Flames and only the Islanders have played fewer home games (9 home, 17 road). 8 of the Flames next 11 games are at the Saddledome. By the end of that stretch, they will still have played 3 more road games than home (and they head out on a 4 game trip immediately after).
The Canucks and Oilers have actually had relatively average schedules, they just seem soft when compared to the Flames.
The Oilers road trips have been pretty soft, with only 3 of 12 road games so far in the Eastern Time Zone. The Canucks have played 8 of their 14 road games in the East. The Flames have played 12 of 17 in the East.
