Would love to see a HHOF re-issue of these.
Would buy in a heartbeat. Do it for charity ala Mangi.

IMO the greatest power forward to ever play the game.

there might be 20-25? players ever who might be recognized as the best player in the world for a certain period of time
From 2002 to 2004 Jarome was the best player in the world

Very true. Something people may overlook with iggy was that there was rarely any such thing as a 50/50 puck battle. If he went into the corner against another guy for a puck, it was at worst an 80/20 puck battle for him. Very few players in league have that trait even today… I would say only Crosby, McKinnon, and maybe Stone compare to his battle level for pucks along the boards currently in NHL today.

In my dreams I still hear Gary Bettman saying "Jarome Iginla come get the Stanley Cup!".

Favorite hockey player of all time. There won't be many who will ever be able to do all the different things Iggy could, especially in the way the game is trending.
I was 7 when the flames won the cup, but it was iginla who gave me my best memories of being a flames fan.
Get emotional just thinking about it....

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills,
For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding,
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;

There's an actual Hall of Fame Game.
Iggy will play for Canada along with Robyn Regehr, Mike Cammalleri and (!) Mike Commodore (!?).
And Lanny "coaching" the World Team?
That's WHACK.

I can't imagine there will ever come a time that I like a hockey player as much as Jarome Iginla.
To me, he will always be the greatest hockey player

Ditto.
Part of it is age and the connection you have with players as you grow up.
Even if the Flames land the next Crosby, I'll never connect with a player the way I did watching Iggy all those years.
He's the GOAT for my generation and that can't be replaced.
