Sutter may be wise but he is doing his darndest to decimate our chances of adding some secondary scoring with those lines.
At the very least get Ritchie away from Bread and Doobs.

Is it the 4th line because Ritchis is on it?
Or is it the 2nd line, because Mangiapane is on it?

I can't keep track anymore.....but if I had to hazard a guess, (2+4)/2= 3, so must be the 3rd line.

Don't understand why Pitlick, Lewis or Richie are in the lineup.

Lewis and Ritchie are fine in the lineup as long as they are not overplayed. They are both serviceable fourth liners.
Pitlick is a a sold third liner though and brings some speed and size.
Nothing wrong with these players when deployed properly.

Monahan with Dube and Mangiapane was working, not sure why they moved away from that. All three struggled apart.
Or give them Coleman. Need to stack the 2nd line imo to get some offense going.

What is wrong with Pitlick exactly?

Its the 2nd line, Monahan is the 4th line with Backland as the 3rd line.
I believe he wrote them out of order IMO

I wish they'd do this:
Gaudreau - Lindholm - Tkachuk
Mangiapane - Dube - Coleman
Monahan - Backlund - Pitlick
Lucic - Ritchie - Lewis (I'd actually rather see some rookies here instead of Ritchie & Lewis, but whatever)

Coleman-Backlund-Pitlick is your TB model 3rd line but you can’t say Backlund is our 3rd line center. Mangiapane-Dube-Ritchie is our 2nd line but you can’t say Ritchie is our 2nd best RW so here we are.

That's exactly how Sutter manages a game, If the line we perceive is the 4th line is playing good they'll get 2nd line minutes.
I guess you could say a first line and three 2nd lines on any given night.

Been looking forward to this game for a long time.
I had planned on being at MSG for Flames v. Rangers in March, 2020 but if I recall correctly the NHL season was suspended just prior to that game.
Unfortunately could not be in NYC for this one.

I want Richardson to come back and center the 4th line, with Ritchie and Lewis fighting over the fi al RW spot, and move Monahan to Dube's wing for Mangiapane - Dube - Monahan
Maybe moving Monny to the wing and lessening the need to focus defensively as the centreman gets him scoring again.
