This is what I meant when I said there was NHL level composure in Vladar.
He's shown the ability to bounce back the next period and refocus, unlike a lot of recent backups here. Even with Rittich, when it became evident that he was having a tough night, the rest of the night was on par. Vladar has shown the ability to flip the script in short succession, which is what makes a good goalie.
I understood the lack of faith and desire from some to put Marky in but I think there is a little more to Vladar, and why he is here. I'm glad he showed that again!
Hopefully this game shows the eternal pessimists that were calling for a heartbreaking loss in the third to hold their tongues. We've had some dips, but overall the team is looking much better this season.
Congrats Lindy! Best contract in the league IMO.

Elias Lindholm. What a beast. Hell of a pass by Johnny for 501 (500 but he should get an apple on Kuznetsovs goal too lol)!

It's nice to watch a Flames win in
1. A matinee
2. A tight game against a proven contender in their Barn
3. Staving off a collapse
That's mettle being tested and in prior seasons they crumpled like paper mache under an anvil.
Promising start to the season.
Optimism intensifies.

Nice!!!
Was only able to watch the 3rd. Wasn’t even surprised when I saw they blew a 3 goal lead, but was good to see them lock it down in the 3rd. Low event period but I’m sure that was by design.
Pumped to see them start off the road trip handing a couple teams their first losses!
