Is this all Sportsnet intermissions are now? 2 people standing at a small desk and stating the obvious for 2 minutes, and then 15 minutes of commercials?

This Arizona goalie looks awful. He lost his net on Hyman goal and looks like he isn't in right position at all.

I'm guessing they aren't traveling with the team.

Well I’m off to bed. Have to turn the Sportsnet Oilers circle Jerk off!! Can’t stand to listen to it for 1 more minute.

Pretty sure the Oilers are winning the Cup this year. We're just along for the ride.

As absurd as it seems, this is actually the correct call by the rulebook.

Did Gallagher initiate contact with the goalkeeper? Yes. He backed into him. It wasn't very much contact at all, but there was contact, and Gallagher wasn't pushed or directed into the crease in any way.
Is Andersen in his crease? Yes, clearly.
Was a goal scored? Yes.
The goal shall be disallowed.

It's actually pretty simple to figure out how goalie interference reviews will work if you just look at whether the goalie was in his crease when contact happened and whether the player was pushed in.

I like to think I follow hockey fairly closely, but I've never heard of Dysin Mayo until tonight.

The Yotes would be better off with a shooter tutor in net

Mcdavid has played really uninspired tonight and looks like he is asleep and still has 3 points. Arizona is really bad.

I mean, define "better off"? This team is trying to lose.

Just need to get a few things in place in time for 2024-2025...

Yeah I checked out his stats afterwards, he put up some pretty decent points when he was there. Hasn't done as much offensively in the AHL, but we'll see where he goes from here. If you're going to make the NHL and get some playing time Phoenix is the place to do it. Hope he does well.

I had dumped the satellite, and am having a hard time getting to watch....but...I was able to stream the 'Haeks/Canucks on ESPN+, and got to see my squad for the first time, this season. Only 3 ES goals in 5 games? Awful. The "Defense" led by a fading Jones, and a pair of bums like Murphy and DeHaan? This team is doomed, and while, yes, Colliton is sure to be run out of town, the master architect of of this dreck-laden roster, is Stan, who should have been fired when he dumped Q. Not that Q could will these terribad rosters to success, but, I have maintained, it is far more poor roster building, than poor coaching. The Canuck feed was all giddy at the thought that good ol' Canadian retread coach, Marc Crawford, is nearly certain to be next up. But, I'd rather see a clean sweep, all the way up the decision chain. Hope is dead for my guys...too many mismatched pieces, and no amound of line blendering will make up for the fact that only Kane and DeBrincat seem ready for the season.

Hearing the crowd boo Colliton when he was introduced was pretty harsh.

He can't get back soon enough. Hirsch is just not a good fit. He keeps talking over the play-by-play with useless personal stories.
