Treeliving’s offseason also includes some extensions he has to get done, especially Zadorov (unless I missed it).

From what I can remember from the year end presser. Treliving set out to shakeup the core of this team. Judging from the Giordano presser, that was not the shakeup he had in mind. There’s time before training camp, but Treliving showed that he does the bulk of his work before free agency starts. I can’t really give him a higher grade than a C. I liked all the moves made, they were good solid moves. In chess I would call them waiting moves. They continue development without committing to a direction. As such, just staying the course with our current roster would be a blunder.

Treliving better knock a few trades out of the park… cause the flames are going to struggle to score big time. Especially with replacing Gio with a fence pole when it comes to offence.m

Nurse contract sucks.
Keith trade sucked
Ceci sucks
Smith contract sucks

But the D is more or less the same. Forwards are much better. Smith won’t collapse till he does!

Defensively, a fence pole would be a huge improvement for the Oilers.
