Francis for me.
Non-stop motor, drives play to the middle, is a puck hound and has a wicked shot.
He is pretty much Mangiapane but with a right shot.

I went Stromgren ... guessing I'll have to do the same for three straight rounds.

Could be 4. I could see a bump in Kinvall or Kuznetzov once Mackey is gone.

So to answer your question: there may be enough money to sign another goalie, depending on what else happens, but personally, I doubt they do. I suspect Vladar will be the backup.
|
It would be very disappointing if they traded a third round pick for a player only to put him on waivers at the start of the season.
Is there any doubt that he's the backup to start the year?

Right, considering that he would have to be put on waivers (which I hadn't considered, thank you), suggests that there is very little doubt that he will be the backup.
(unless an opportunity presents itself that they love so much that they are comfortable with losing Vladar)

Or im just stubborn.
I think it was Sieloff many years ago that i voted like 8 or 9 times before he came off the board. I was wrong about that one!

I doubt you were far off. The guy just got hurt and that was pretty much it. Without the injury I think he would have made it as a 5-7 type guy.

This is the first vote I am not certain on. On the stat sheet Vlader has had some up's and downs but has an overall positive trend. But I haven't watch him play and I haven't followed him personally. Giving him the vote based on the posivit vibe the hockey community seems to have around him, and the fact the Flames liked him enough to give up an asset and likely risk him as the BU this season.

I generally stick with it. The exception is if the board sells Mr on someone else's potential and that causes me to change my mind.
