I never thought I would say this but I really think, at least of this current roster, that the Flames would miss what Lucic is currently bringing to the table. Hell, I'd miss him a bit, contract notwithstanding.

My sincere apologies. It’s probably his CPHL stink rubbing off on me.

Except Zucker is more of a second line player. Bring Zucker in it lets you more easily move one of our LWs over to the right side.

We have to keep Lucic, as a constant reminder to the failures up north that we won the trade in every single way, especially now that he's being bought out lol

Why do you have to set us up for disappointment Scorp? It's bad enough we are all waiting for good Eichel news, now you give us this kind of hope!
As much as I like Lucic, if this happened one for one, it would be absolute wizardry.

I don’t think Scorpion ever posted fake news or rumours. I just recall when he first joined he spammed the forum with random polls and threads with awful puns for titles.
Some posters still hold it against him but I think he’s one of the more valuable posters we have here now.

+8 WOW. I know the penguins aren't the powerhouse they once were but for a guy making 5m for 5 more years and sitting at 0.32 PPG....I have trouble seeing positive value and would rather Lucic play out his contract.

he's been a horrible fit in Pitt, but I think he's fit nicely on Backlund's line as a checker.

Some of you must have missed Lucic passing the puck to the other team in the slot for a back breaking goal once a week last season. Sure he banged in a few rebounds but come on...that would be an absolute steal of a trade for the Flames.
Ritchie bros can handle the rough stuff

There’s a reason why the Pens - who are desperate for secondary scoring - are willing to move on from Zucker. He’s been a bust. No doubt he has more upside than Lucic. But if he doesn’t regain his scoring touch he brings less to the roster than Lucic.

Lucic has really grown on me. I never thought I would feel even remotely conflicted about moving his contract out of town... yet here we are.

Colorado dude screws with our goalie, and less than a second later Looch punches him right in the mouth, glove on and everything. Sure, without him there may have been a half-hearted, obligatory scrum, but I don't believe for one second there is a single other player on this Flames team that would have that kind of nastiness. If I recall correctly, he didn't even take a penalty.
We need less "gentlemanly hockey players" who have to "win with honor and be upstanding classy humanitarians" and way more "hate to lose more than like to win, punch people in the face and kill fools" type players.
Tampa are a team of bro-dude jock d-bags that say and do what they want without giving one single eff. They just won two cups in a row.

I really like Lucic. I have no interest in trading him for Jason Zucker. Over 82 games Zucker was on pace for 38 points vs 33 from Lucic. I don’t think the 5 point difference is worth sacrificing the other elements Lucic brings.
Zucker is also more expensive so it’s not like we’d be saving money.
I also think the “Lucic gives the puck away all the time” takes are a tad overblown. Yeah, he had a few glaring turnovers but I can look past it. Other than his cap hit he’s a valuable player.

Or, with Coleman instead of Ritchie...
Coleman - Backlund - Pitlick
Zucker - Dube - Ritchie
