This is too big of a deal to keep in under wraps and make it all as one announcement. A lot of hardcore fans out there and they want to discuss and talk about it all day.

I don't mind the leaks.

It will still be an really interesting event, sounds like Seattle may have made around 8 trades

Which players were selected to be flipped....

It’s all about coverage and attention nowadays, NHL would much rather they be trending for the whole day as opposed to only at night time.

I’m sure they are fine with the leaks.

Seattle really going out of their way to not take salary from teams. I thought JVR or Voracek were no brainers, Domi as well and even Duchene.

With all of the leaks, it is interesting that Friedman is not divulging this info and letting Frank et al trip over themselves to get the scoops. Hat tip to him. SN can't be happy that Johnston is part of the leak mob. And following Pagnotta is hilarious....he isn't connected but reports stuff right after the others do.

Pretty clear now that Francis is taking a few big names and then rounding everything else out to get to the 50M minimum needed. He will then take that 30ish million in cap space and go to the trade/UFA markets to create his finished product.

According to John Shannon, Seattle has signed 5 FAs.

We know Larsson and Driedger have been confirmed. Oleksiak rumored. So 2 more yet to be revealed.

I guess it depends on the side deals, but looking at who they have selected, they might have a problem hitting that 20 players signed next year.

Watch it be Landeskog with a long term deal. I don't want this team in our division

Donskoi is the Avs selection though. If Landy signs with SEA it has to be after FA day.

You're right, the list in OP had Donskoi as San Jose's pick

I don't think, after picking Donskoi, they can sign Landeskog until regular UFA availability happens. They could have signed him but it would have counted as their Avs pick.

Now, they may well have a handshake deal.

I think Tre should be working his ass off now to try and get Landeskog after losing Gio.

I'm surprised they passed on both Bishop or Price.
