Let's do some math, say the war vet fought at 18 in 1865 so they were born in 1847...
Long after the war he married a woman much younger than him... say 40 years younger? Which would make her born in 1887. In order for her to live till 2020 she would have had to live to 133.
So maybe he married someone 60 years younger than him? Like he was 80 and she was 20. This would have made her born in 1907 - still would've had to live till 113 to make it to 2020.
Oh no, I googled it and it's even worse than that.
He was 93 and she was 17, for a whopping 76 year difference. She was born in 1919 which means he was born in or around 1843.
