Random caption for the game that popped into my mind watching the end of game celebrations/sulking.

Did Principe really just throw out the 'well you didn't get a hat trick because of a fantastic Mike Smith save, but great game' ???????

What a clown.

Weak call on Ryan. The Dube and Tkachuk calls weren’t even penalties. Non-calls on trip against Tanev, a hold by McDavid (mind you it would have been delayed and Dube scored anyway).

If this was soccer, you guys would have been relegated years ago. Right now you'd just be talking about hopefully making it back into the NHL next season.

Maybe not so much fun for other occupants, depending on the amount of liquids consumed.

I forgot how much clinching means to you guys.

I guess it would when you're talking two tickets punched in 15 years.

Pretty good game! Even in a year of poop, beating the Greasers doesn't get old.

Second game in a row.

Don’t think for a second that Sutter hasn’t done his homework figuring out how to slow them down...

If we get early season Markstrom for these 7 games I'd give us a >50% chance.

No. No it isn't "crazy". It isn't "crazy" at all.

It's the ultimate (c)Oiler game-plan.

Drailiath: 28:49 TOI (!!)
McDavey: 23:37
Nothing-Happens: 22:21
Yamamoto: 20:10

NO OTHER (c)OILER FORWARD OVER 15:00. IN A GAME THAT DOESN'T ULTIMATELY MATTER FOR THEM, AGAINST A NON-PLAYOFF TEAM.

No matter what else happens in this godforsaken league, I enjoy (c)Oiler losses most of all. Pathetic.

Win the next one and it’s .500 against the Oil. That would leave one game against a current PO team, the Jets, who the Flames have generally played pretty tight against. Then one more against Ottawa, and 4 against the Nucks. The Flames are 4-2 against the Nucks. And that was all under Ward.

Maybe it's petty to complain about this after the win, but I still cannot believe Dube got a penalty for being elbowed in the head by Smith. Is behind the net a protected zone now, like a second crease??
If that was McDavid getting bodied by Markstrom, you can bet Markstrom comes away with the penalty there.

Oilers don't seem to have an answer for teams that play strong/structured defensive games against them. Their only game plan appears to be to stack the 1st line in the 3rd period and double shift McDoofus and Drai. I'm starting to think the Flames would likely beat these clowns in a playoff series just due to having better depth and equal (if not better) goaltending.
