If the Flames stay within 8 points of the Habs they have that 4 with the Canucks who will be on fumes at the end of the year.

Win Monday you are certainly in it

It's maybe the least sexy defensive play, but he's great at it. Had a couple courageous shot blocks too on the PK tonight.
Him and Tanev block shots. It’s awesome.

If the Flames want a deep run though they could use a couple F willing to put their body on the line.

Blocking shots is such a massive part of the game. And I mean that with sticks too, just get in lanes and prevent the shot. Really good teams do this very effectively.

wait, what? We don’t want to get 8 points behind, that’s likely terminal.

He does things to the opponent players that Bennett would draw a five game suspension for, and doesn't get called.

Stone should have been in the lineup from game 1.

Monday is critical. I don’t think it’s wise to assume you’ll sweep the Canucks at seasons end. You need it set up so that you only need 2 games. Then should be okay. But need this win Monday, and Habs are going to come out flying.

I totally agree Flames would kill MTL in a series.

That said, Flames can’t beat Ottawa. Thats way worse.

A win against an eastern team on HNIC is always fun. Enjoyed that one, sets my whole weekend up!

Bieksa is a beauty.

Singh/Cassie on the other hand is the bottom of the barrel. Flames broadcasts always get the shaft. The prior tandem of Randorf/Cassie tandem, albeit brutal in itself, was at least slightly better.
