I agree with you but what about another layer or level of interview instead of the same old every time.
I want to see energy. How about something like "I am not going to come out here and tell you what we need to do. I have done that many times before and we haven't been able to accomplish it. Tonight, you will see what we are capable of on the ice" -- interview over. If that doesn't rile up the guys, not sure anything else will.
I can cheer for them just fine but it doesn't mean I'm expecting much. We suck. Fandom and actual hope are different things. I don't know, maybe Ritchie could lay a lickin' on Kassian or something to at least make it worth spending the prime hours of my Saturday night to watch.

there's no point in ritchie wasting time on the toothless wonder. ritchie needs to wait until mcavi doesn't have the puck and then just throw a vicious elbow to his head. the nhl has already established that that kind of play is only a 2 minute penalty and a $5000 fine - so we start a go fund me if need be!
according to my oiler buddies that kind of head shot should be a penalty but in no way is it suspendable or would the player who delivered the elbow be required to "answer for their actions on the ice" becuz of the code (remember.. we're talking greaser 'logic' now )
