It's not like the Kraken will be a stanley cup contender in their first year.

Holtby is a UFA next season, they'll take a 2nd for him.

Not to mention playing and winning playoff games on the way to the cup. Holtby is barely an NHL goaltender right now. Seattle can only take so many goalies they aren't just going to waste one for a second rounder. This is wishful thinking for Canuck fans IMO.
It's ok for you to be wrong. I'd think you'd be used to it by now, since you do it so often.

Unless you mean this season when he's not even with Utica....
In any event he looks decidedly average. Jon Gillies was a far more impressive prospect.

Demko let in 2 goals in games 5-6-7 only 1 at ES in the playoffs against Vegas.

Pretty much more clutch goal tending than the Flames had since Kipper 2004.... that is including the 4 playoff seasons after 2004 with Kipper in net.

I look forward to bumping this thread...but hey all the Canuck fanboys agree so you must be right

did you even look at the stats? MAF was WAAAAAY better than Holtby is now, honestly its laughable to suggest otherwise.

Go look it up.

They had agreed the MAF thing with vegas before the playoffs though, didn't it come out they did it before the trade deadline?

How are career stats relevant...they would be taking him now.

People don't want a player because he was good 5 years ago. Seattle will have a ton of good goal tending options, they aren't going to blow one on Holtby for the great reward of a 2nd round pick.

We should have kept Talbot and paid the Canuck goalie coaches $6 million instead.

Okay, MAF still had high end stats

Holby not so much

If the resident Canuck fanboys are thanking everything you say it just might be wishful thinking for Canuck fans. Why would Seattle want to do something that a rival would be so happy about? Seattle and Vancouver are going to be huge rivals.

If I were the GM the first thing I would do is try and stick it to them. I will take Jake Allen and not Holtby thanks

Johan Hedberg started his playoff career by allowing two goals in his first three games. He actually won his first series.

the Canucks literally had the worst month (Feb) in franchise history, been playing without Petey for a weeks now and a decimated top 6 and here we are tied with a 'deep' and healthy flames team.

It is hard to take anyone seriously who has not posted in two solid months.

what do you want to bet? LOL

It's wishful thinking on your part if you think Seattle can get more than a 2nd for a pending UFA goaltender.
