Excited to see MacKey.
Maybe it's just a way of trolling the Canucks. "look how deep we are on defence".

I think it's going to be important to roll the taxi squad in when we can. They need to see reps to remain fresh, and the team is still invested in the future of Kylington and Mackey so they need to make sure they get chances to play, ven if there arent injuries.
I have no problem cycling the bottom d and forwards.
Location: Wondering when # became hashtag and not a number sign.
Exp:
Maybe they want to see Mackey in action and determine if he is indeed ready to slot in if needed and that would allow them to deal Kylington...maybe a Bennett/Kylington combo for a player somewhere who would assume Sams spot on the team.
Am I mistaken or wasn't there a rule that taxi squad players had to play a certain number of games? Or am I just making that up?
I think you're just making that up.
Maybe you're thinking about the fact that they'll need to clear waivers again every time they play 10 NHL games. That's the only thing I can think of that relates to games played by taxi squad players.

I think Nesterov has been a bit of a revelation so far this season, and I liken him somewhat to what Hamrlik brought for the Flames in general, and more specifically, what he brought as a partner for Phaneuf.
I do think he made a couple of mistakes in the last game, but was mosly solid IMO. Maybe it was those mistakes, maybe it is simply making sure other D get some reps, or maybe it is even a small injury or bump that he could play through but considering it is at this point in the season, might as well give him a break.
However, this is a condensed schedule, and the more a team can move guys in and out of the taxi squad this year, the fresher this team will be.
Excited to see Mackey and what he can bring tonight. Kylington I am sure will get some reps too. Hopefully all 3 play really well every time to the point that it gives Ward fits as to who he should play the next game.
