They're selling refurbished Ecobee4 for $249 CAD. My Ecobee3 (non-lite) is a refurb and we have been happy with it for almost three years now.

You don't want the Ecobee3 Lite as I don't believe the Lite has the ability to control whole-home humidifiers.

The Lite does not allow you to control anything aux. I have a refurb 3 as well.
