Nesterov has been quietly solid. Pretty much exactly what you want from a 3rd pairing d-man. Scratching him right now for the heck of it doesn't make much sense.

Maybe, but Nesterov is very steady and in a 3rd pairing that’s pretty useful.

He's been a great, reliable, 3rd pairing guy.
Has also been a calming presence for young valimaki who's had a very nice bounce back the past few games.

He also has come close to potting a couple of goals. I have been liking his game and don't see any reason to take him out at the moment.

I only ever see that 'dynamic element' in our end of the ice.
No way you take Nesterov out of the lineup right now

Hey it's also my son's birthday... perhaps a Winnipeg 0 - 4 Calgary score?

And, really, third pairing is typically what you put out to rest the top 2 pairings, with as little drama as possible.

I would imagine that their plan for Valimaki is to slowly feed him more responsibility, as his game continues to grow and solidify.

He plays the game well enough, but his added nastiness really makes him a great addition

Offensively, absolutely.
They have the ability to strike very quickly to take advantage of breakdowns/turnovers. If we have defensive breakdowns, or if BSD isn't great tonight, we're going to be in trouble.

Meh.
The Jets have scored 18 goals in six games against teams from parts outside of Ottawa. That is good enough for 16th in the NHL, and only a fraction ahead of the Flames, who have basically chosen to spectate rather than actually play in the first period.
The Jets are not great. At all.

I want a win just for the ATL. Listening to other fans whine about how dirty and mean the Big Bad Flames are is hilarious.

That could only mean a dominating game from Tkachuk taking up residence in the collective heads of the Jets. Some of that, please.

They scratched Simon "for the heck of it".
And I wouldn't call giving a 22 year old defenseman some icetime "for the heck of it" anyways.
If Kylington isn't going to play he should be sent to the AHL.
