Here's the video...
I guess it depends on how literal the interpretation of "on his stick" is. The puck is definitely not touching his stick when it crosses the line. So, if you take "on his stick" to mean physical contact between the puck and stick, it should have been offside. If you take it to mean that the puck's movement is under the player's control, I'd say it's the right call to say it's on-side.

IMO this is offside but also the goal was really ####ing sweet, so I'm not too upset it wasn't called back. Although, if this was McDavid against the Flames I would be furious
