[Trade] Jets acquire Paui Stastny from Vegas for a conditional 2022 4th and Carl Dahlstrom

My memory is hazy because the Jets seem to acquire a player like this at the deadline every year but wasn't Stastny really good in his short stint with the Jets?

The 4th-rounder going to Vegas is conditional. Stastny has to play 5 games with the Jets for it to kick in. My guess here is that the Jets are protecting themselves from giving up a pick and there not being a season.ts.

I wondered about this a couple of weeks back. Seems like a good fit.

Stastny's game is not what it was when he left Winnipeg but they badly needed a C and he doesn't hate living in Winnipeg apparently so why not.
