Are there any stats on a players improvement over the previous season after being bought out? Any notables whose careers were reignited?

One mans trash is not always another mans treasure.

I think Turris has enough left in the tank (31pts in 60+games) that he would be good in our bottom-6. He's always shown good 2 way abilty, and can still skate.

Not really with players who are past the UFA cutoff age in terms of getting back to their peak.

Todd Bertuzzi got bought out after a 40 point season in Anaheim, than signed with the Flames and had 44 the next season and a few others in the 38-48 range in Detroit after that. Owen Nolan also had a decent year for the Flames after being bought out. Nothing like previous seasons, but he stuck around for a few years after.

Players who get bought out, usually were not bad players, they were just overpaid. There are a few who brought pretty good value to their next team on shorter less expensive deals.

Shattenkirk got bought out and went to get a ring this year, with a somewhat better season than his previous two.

Nashville has 18 million in cap space now. No real big names to re-sign. There's Kunin and that's pretty much it.

They're going to make big moves in free agency.

Yup....that Hynes/Hall connection just can't be ignored. Hall played, by far, his best hockey with him.
