So, Kevin Lowe is in the hall for being lucky enough to be on a good team? Where's Kris Draper's nod? TBH I think Draper was a more important cog on those Detroit teams and he has a Frank J Selke.

Anyway, none of that matters because Iginla is a well deserved first ballot!!!

Maybe it's petty, but I almost feel like Lowe being inducted in the same year somehow takes away from Iggy's induction.

Oh well. So happy for Iggy. My favourite player for many, many years.

Kevin Lowe... what a horrible selection. Was never an elite defenseman, I would rank him below Suter and I don't think that Suter is a Hall of Fame Defenseman. This would be like Steve Duchesne being elected to the hall

You joke, but I see absolutely no reason not to include a defenceman of Seabrook's caliber now as they've lowered the bar. Both really good defencemen, core pieces of several championship teams and all, but always supported by a cast of stars quite a bit bigger than either of them.

The two guys have a lot of parallels, and I think Seabrook was a better defenceman at his height than Lowe. I'd vote for neither of them myself, but if this is the new standard Seabrook surely has a place.

Why force it? If there's only one player deserving, then only one player goes in that year. Hossa is deserving, Alfie and Mogilny maybe as well.

I think the voters think that players like Alfredsson need to "wait" longer, so they will put in inferior players before them to give them the appropriate wait time. Weird way of thinking. If they have to put in 4 players, put in the 4 best ones IMO
