I saw him play when the Flames came to Calgary and marveled at his talent and what he could do with the puck.
It's true in a sense that he didn't make the Flames a worse hockey team. My issue was always with his work ethics and his indifferent attitude towards the game. Having issues with Badger Bob was another. In the end I believe those are the reasons why the Flames traded him to Minnesota.
He could have been a difference maker for the Flames but didn't seem to want to take his game to next level. He'd be ordinary for a good portion of the game and then he would do something that would take fans out of their seats. It drove Fletcher and coaches crazy.
There's no denying he had incredible talent. He knew what he had but didn't seem to want it enough when he was asked to work on his game at all ends of the ice. He could have been one of the greats of all time
