I'd ask if I was on any lists, but those people who have me ignored wouldn't see my question anyways, so what's the point of asking? LOL.

Haha. Not to single you out oilers_fan, but there used to be a feller who posted here frequently and with great verbosity named "nuckfaninTO" who fully believed that since a majority of the site's posters did not reply to his posts, they must have all agreed with him.

Arrogant feller.

I may ignore one person and one person only....MainFlame. No explanation needed.

Can you ignore yourself?

I won't put anybody on the ignore list.

Like calf said, a quick glance and then I can just whiz right by it.

And dominic...taken, I love this smilie! It's multi-purpose!! And hilarious!

This was what he used to come up with, more or less. He was impervious to pleas for succinctness. The odd time someone like loooob, Bingo or Rouge Underoos would pick up on a point or two, but for the most part it was an exercise in futility. Obtuse, banal and tediously verbose. I'll credit the feller for departing when he got his ass smacked, though.

Why is this thread showing as 47 posts long, but I can only see Cowperson's comments?

Like a lot of people, I don't think I'll use it as some of the silliness is just too much fun to take a chance on missing. Even my own shenanigans make me laugh some times!!

Default Ignore function - necessary?

OK, recognizing the potential merits - but just wanting to start a dialogue on this one. Is the addition of an ignore feature healthy for the community here? I know there are a few who do nothing but try to antagonize and contribute little but I am not a fan of people shutting out opinions they don't agree with, hearing different sides of things is what makes this forum so valuable. A poster on HFBoards a few days ago praised Calgarypuck for being self-policing - we've never really had major problems with disrespectful behaviour. Is this feature something people are pleased with by and large or are there any with reservations?
