Guinness was on sale yesterday and BL3 came out on Steam today. I should be good for the weekend anyway.

The F1 series on Netflix is really, really enjoyable. I'm not into racecar driving at all but it's filmed & presented similarly to the "Road to the Winter Classic" series that HBO did for the NHL a few years ago. Each season follows each of the last two F1 seasons and covers lots of interesting behind the scenes storylines with some very interesting back stories on the drivers/teams. Much like the NHL series, there's a ton of really interesting characters on the various teams that you start to root for and as a complete outsider to the sport I was totally dragged into the drama on & off the track. I got hooked hard on both seasons.

This past winter I've been spending many an evening helping my good friend Syed run the movie theatre he owns in High River. Now that hockey and sports is on pause, Syed and I will have more to bicker and argue over what movie we should bring in. I should add that I do win my share of battles but he still gets the final say. His last few picked have been box office duds and I got the last laugh.

I will spend more time at the local field house playing basketball or spending time in the pool. At least until they shut that down - who knows.

I have the original Twilight Zone series on DVD and will doing some binge watching, As well as the 60's TV series "The Invaders" or "The Time Tunnel".

The one with Shatner and the air plane is a classic.

We've been watching Twilight Zone for about a month now (I bought it at the perfect time - who knew?) and I'm enjoying it even more than I did as an impressionable pre-teen.

I think if you've not been out for a winter hike that could be the best psychological bang for your buck. Like do a big one. Even the drive would be good for the soul. Of course driving, avalanches, cold af, early rising bears...all better than worrying about viruses though.

Walk some dogs. Don't care who's dogs. Just get some animal love cause it's free.

Huge plus one for The Twilight Zone. I've always thought it was the best tv ever written...at times.

Has anyone watched The Durrells in Cofu? It's a BBC drama/comedy period piece that gets very good reviews, but I know very little about it. Anyone see it and have any thoughts?

Maybe we should set up a spoiler free recommendation thread for streaming services.

I know there are mega threads for Netflix and prime and so on, but maybe something that is less discussion based and more thematic based and up to date?

a great one for sure (it was actually kinda creepy watching it because it had some close parallels to my own working life). We watched The Invaders most recently - hadn't seen it in probably 30+ years and yeah, it was GREAT!

I’d recommend picking up a Nintendo Switch to be honest.

Even if you haven’t played in decades they usually have games that will resonate with you from a nostalgia perspective.

Things like Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart, Splatoon 2, Zelda games etc all are very easy to pick up and play even if you haven’t played video games in a long time.

If anyone wants something interesting to watch during self-quarantine, PBS is currently streaming Ken Burns' epic 18-hour documentary series "Baseball" for free.
