Isn’t this really the point of everything? Sums it all up well.

This is probably the closest I have been to endorsing a blow it up philosophy, maybe ever.
Starting to wonder if Treliving is a lame duck GM who hasn't got the walking papers yet.

I think I'm a realist, I don't try to be "negative". I think the team is mediocre, I think Bennett not panning out hurt the Flames terribly, and I think the wasted contract of Neal (now Lucic) is just too heavy to carry. I wish it were otherwise, I was super excited about the playoffs last year and felt it was lucky to get Colorado rather than a "really strong opponent". Ha!

I think overestimating how good the team is, how good some of the pieces are has hurt this group for.... a long time. "We're just a piece away, boys, let's see if we can't beat those Canucks."

Tre should sell (or trade) if there's a deal on the table that makes the team better, but that's the case all the time, win or lose, October or February.
This team is in the exact same position it was in five years ago when they traded Glencross, they are a bubble team that is just not good enough to compete with the great teams in a seven game series. They can still try to make the playoffs like they did that year under Hartley and sell off good assets like they did that year.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. And Ward knows it. The good news is that if Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm can go on a bit of a run, it would cure a lot of things. Backlund back at centre with Tkachuk as well, and Mangiapane has shown enough to keep his spot in the top 6.

Hold on to your butts Flames fans...

Can this team muster up anyone better than Tobias Reider? He probably wouldn’t start on any other team in the NHL

For the Love of God, split up Johnny and Monny.

Gaudreau - Lindholm - Bennett
Tkachuk - Monahan - Mangiapane
Lucic - Ryan - Dube
Jankowski - Backlund - Harvey

Hanifin - Andersson
Brodie - Stone
Kylington - Hamonic

I have no idea why we keep these two together five on five. And I would put Bennett on Gaudreau's line, simply because he isn't afraid of carrying the puck in himself. The whole league is keying in on Johnny as the puck carrier every single play.

Won tickets to the game tonight. Haven't been to a Flames game since they beat the Predators 4-0 at the Dome. Hoping for the same result this time, but a win will do.

Go Flames Go!!

Flames need the win to stay in a playoff position. 2-5-1 in their last 8 has really dragged them down. Depending on the OOT tonight and tomorrow a loss tonight could drop them to 12th in the conference.

And why shouldn't they be negative this team as they are now is horrible, should posters just constantly be happy when we have been subjected to literally the same crap every single year besides last year. Lets say we go on a 4 game run and stand pat at the deadline what happens after those 4 games when the players decide they just don't give a s### anymore like we have seen so much over the years.

Well I can say what happens after those 4 games when they go on a tear and win the SC? Nobody here is sporting a crystal ball.

Geoff Ward ain't about reason. He's a classic case of Never Earned Always Given. Gulutzan 2.0

Yeah I guess anything can happen although this teams history shows them going the opposite route and completely folding in the last 30 or so games of a season

Can't argue that. We definitely deserve better as a fan base.

Jets won this afternoon so we are no longer in a playoff spot. The good news is Coyotes lost.
