It's because the Flames aren't getting shots of with one too many passes.
Being waaaay to cute. Try shooting for rebounds if a open shooting lane is available with players skating towards crease.

Getting open ice is difficult near their net, despite entering the zone effectively with speed the last several minutes. Always a Hawk in the way. Good positioning. Aren't they supposed to be not nearly this stingy since their fall from grace? Seems they've made some adjustments.
Bottom line though, not enough rubber sent at their cage.
