Outcome was never in doubt, only if the Flames could scrape up a single goal or show any real effort. (they didn’t).
Flames were never in this game from the drop of the puck and the giveaways that led to a post by the Blues 90 seconds in. Final score flattered the Flames and the Blues players were openly laughing on the bench in the third period. Flames didn’t get mad and goon it up, they got meek and skated away with their heads down. Pathetic bunch of losers.
THey have been shut out in 3 of the last four games, haven’t scored a single goal on the road since early in November (20 or so days ago), have set a record for longest streak without a lead in franchise history, are leading the league in allowing the first goal, and the first two goals, have the worst first period and second period goal differentials.... and our goalie - the only player that even looks like he gives a crap - has a horrible habit of giving the puck away while behind the net to allow the opposition to score at least one easy goal every couple of games.
There are exactly zero redeeming qualities about this team right now. Some are saying Dube looks good... looks good at what? Doing nothing but skating into trouble and passing to no one? Dube is not even in the top 10 worst players on this team right now, but pretending that any player is dong ok is a fallacy. Every single player on this “team” looks like a complete joke - can’t shoot, can’t make or accept a pass, and doesn’t show a lick of try.
This is Edmonton Oiler bad. And that should embarrass every single player, but based on their body language and effort levels this past few games, they couldn’t care less.

If he's fired it's whatever. Have no opinion of it one way or the other, but it can't be the only change. Gotta get rid of the UFA's who won't be part of the future of the team (pretty much all of them), and switch out a player or two from the core.

As they should. I realize in this day and age everyone wants a quick fix but I don't think there is one for the 2019 edition of the Flames. The team needs to ride this one out no matter how ugly it gets as the only big move that should be considered is maybe changing the coach but I suspect the GM will not do this during the season unless things get Greg Gilbert bad and truth be told another few weeks of this hockey and we are probably there.

Watching the Knights and the Blues play, it's obvious how contenders are built and it's easy to see that the Flames (and Lightning and Leafs) are not.

Since the all star break and through the playoffs team has looked awful.
At least we know who they are. There is no reason to believe this group can compete for a playoff spot let alone make a run.
The rose coloured glasses are finally off and now we can properly move to blowing it all up and starting over.
