I didn't watch, so I'm not commenting on this game per se, but one thing I have noticed about this team under Peter's is when they are not playing well they DO look like the GG Flames. Interesting that Peter's and Guletzan both come from the Babcock coaching tree. I have often wondered if Babcock is actually any good or if he was just a product of good teams playing well at the right time.

We spend to the salary cap each year but wont pony up for a good coach. I'd much rather see what a good coach, with a proven NHL record could do with this team. Not somebody we couldn't hire until they were fired by their previous organization.

Should go with another coach, that's always the issue

I went to the games in Vegas and Phoenix last March. At least I got to see one goal in the two games. Sorry to all who made the trip this time.

I gave up watching games a while ago, but some of the things being said remind me an awful lot of things that were being said about those Gulutzan teams. Which shouldn't be totally surprising, I suppose, as one of the criticisms of Peters' hiring was that his brand could very easily be a reimagining of Gulutzan hockey.

And yet Treliving got a contract extension. This is his team, his cap problem, his lack of toughness. Tre talks the talk of being a tough, hard to play against team but has done absolutely nothing to address that.

Send Johnny packing to whoever we can make the best deal with. You can tell he is a whiner with a bad attitude when things don't go his way. Fire him off in to the sun somewhere out east.

I turned the comebacks into L’s because they had no business winning those games.

Flames 3-2 in OT.
Talbot makes 27 10-bell saves. In the first period.
Thank goodness the booze is doing its job....

That was brutal.

Glad I shut it off 3-0, what a listless bunch. Something seriously wrong since the All-Star break last season.

I've always thought that there was a huge difference between really good players, elite players, and elite edgy players, guys who bring crazy skill AND an unquenchable desire to win and dominate - Messier, Getzlaf, Ovechkin. I kinda think you need a guy like that, and it has to be a goalscorer, a dominant force. Gio's a great defenceman and has some edge but you can't do EVERYthing from the blueline.

Team needs more Tkachuckulence, and less whiny pouty, and less "Oh man did you see that, that guy almost skated into me!".

Wow, another tough game to watch....

Hopefully the slump will end fairly soon, however the losses were due with their play this season.

A good ole ‘stick throw by the coach’ will fix them

There is a common variable to this team's problems, and it is certainly NOT coaching style or strategy.

I'm guessing we see a trade of a core player before Christmas.

Man, this team is lacking in heart. Or something.

I missed big chunks of the game, was Chucky that bad that he was the best one to serve the delay of game bench minor?
