Not sure why it has to be this hard. Johnny and Mony together, stick Bennett on the RW.
Make Tkachuk and Lindholm a pairing. Put whoever on that RW, really doesn't matter.
Backs with Frolik. Doesn't matter who is on the LW.
Ryan with Mangiapane. Doesn't matter who is on the other wing.
Stick with those for 10 games.

I agree with this. Many lines are built around pairs and we have 4 higher end forwards. It feels like any interview I have heard Lindholm talk about playing center he mentions how he prefers the wing.
I think the Flames should be shopping Brodie/Hamonic for a top 6 winger and try and make that deal ASAP.

And to be clear, the lines didn't look bad other than Monahan's line. They played well for long stretches, but they were really inconsistent with their work ethic. That doesn't have much to do with line combos when it's team-wide.
It's good to know the team has some options if needed. However, in that lineup we still desperately need an offensive winger for the 2nd line, but perhaps we still need that anyway.

I love the ideas for Roslovic or Ehlers for Hamonic but I just can't see that happening, even with the Jets need for a RHD.

Peters isn’t the coach for us to be a winner if he lets the players not showing up for an entire period dictate that they get the lines they want back. Reeks of GG style. I would of just put Mony back with Johnny.
Gaudreau- Monahan- who cares
Tkachuk- Lindholm- who cares
Who cares - backlund- who cares
Who cares- who cares- who cares

I'm gonna plow through dozens of those mini chocolate bars tonight. One for each time Ball announces "shot wide".

I have a feeling we will have an offensive outburst this game. Flames take it 6-2.

I'm starting to worry about going to the Columbus game with flames attire. 3-1 in the last 4 years of going, but this team...I dunno

Flames Win = 2.8

Predators Win = 1.85
Over 5.5 = 1.5
Under 5.5 = 1.95
Statement game for this team as I think Nashville is probably to top team in the West at the end of the year. We need something out of Johnny & Monahan tonight to get the win and prove that the Flames last season was not a fluke. I don't like that Lindholm is back up with those two at ES though as it gives Nashville only one line to really be concerned about defending. Hoping being re-united sparks the top line to fill the net and Calgary continues its dominance in Nashville of late (won 7 of the last 8); 5-3 Flames (w/ENG).

Don't worry, Peters just has a habit of putting lines into a blender so I fully expect to see Lindholm back at centre and Monahan/Gaudreau split up by the second period.

Sometimes the Flames go on winning streaks after playing the Predators. Hopefully this is one of those times.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Flames have a relatively good game today.

They historically play well and tight defensively in Nashville (or light them up for 5 or 6) For whatever indiscernible reason.
If they were as comfortable every game as they are in games in nashville they would be a damn good hockey club.

I agree with shopping Hamonic but I would keep Brodie.
Hamonic's a shot blocker. (Reminds me of Kris Russell somewhat. I would rather see the puck at the other end of the ice.)
Brodie can skate.

Bridie compliments the possession game we need to play to win. Hammer has good character and is tough but doesn't add in that department.

Backlund is not a 2nd line centre, and this team will continue to be abysmal as long as they continue rolling with it. Ensuring you continue to have only one scoring line rather than two.
Backlund and Frolik need to be 3rd line players.

Flames usually play well in Nashville, Flames have sort of been their kryptonite the last few years.

Please go on a winning streak so the negative Nancy's plaguing this board right now will shut up.
