It is what it is. I feel much less than excited than last year. I will keep watching but with not much hope. I pay $10 extra per month for the sport channels.
I still say we need to trade some core players for a shake up.

Hope we stick with the new lines. I like having the talent spread over 3 lines instead of all on 1.66 lines. They just need a bit of time to find more chemistry.

Hate to say it, but they deserve that loss after the way they played the third. They sat back and let off and decided to play D all period as if they had a 3 goal lead!
Peters recently said he’d rather win low scoring games than winning 5-4 type games, but I really hope that wasn’t his game plan to sit back and protect that 1 goal lead.

Without looking at the stats I’m going to guess Ryan is probably one of our better face off guys. They probably wanted to gain possession in the offensive zone and cycle him off for another right away but the play came immediately into our end and we paid for it.

I wouldn't call last year's Flames lazy. They ended the year poorly but I said it in PGTs several times - the Flames season last year was as much fun as I've had as a Flames fan in a long time.

Are you talking about Backlund, Monahan, or Lindholm? There's three players that should be playing center over Ryan in OT.
