Pretty much no passengers tonight. A lot of “best games of the season” IMO. Frolik, Bennett, Lucic, Jankowski all had solid games.

These are the Flames' opponents for their next slate of games. Bolded are the matchups against locked-in or almost guaranteed playoff teams.

If the Flames keep playing like they played tonight (that is to say, very well), I think they have a great chance to bank a lot of points in the next few weeks.

I thought Kylington-Andersson were excellent. Gaudreau, Mohan, Lindholm, Backlund, Mangiapane, Harmonic also very good.

Overall, a well-played game. Coming in the wake of the game in San Jose, it's certainly a game to build momentum from.

Huge shout out to Backs for that shot block. That guy just bleeds Flames. So glad we got to see him grow in to the player he is now.

Felt a bit Gulutzen-esque in the last 10 minutes. But wins are wins so take it and look to be better next game. 8 games down already and it feels like October is barely underway.

Although the Flyers ended up making it close I love how the Flames came out in the 3rd period. Not sitting back but going for the 3 goal lead and they were unlucky not to get it.

Monny is finally playing like the 6'2" 200lbs ex-lacrosse player that he is.

Decent start. Flames let of the gas. Bennett is invisible. Not quite sure what he really brings to the flames anymore.

Managing Ritter’s workload will be key. Talbot looked fine in his game so giving Rittich a decent amount of rest should keep him looking great.

There's no such thing as a "guaranteed playoff team" in the beginning of a season.

Really liked the effort tonight, no real passengers. Still wish they put the Flyers away earlier considering the shot disparity.

Probably why he said ‘almost’.
