I'm not sure why Flames fans need to chant like this simply because the Flames fortunes are better than the Oilers right now.
It's taken quite some time for the Flames fans to have a real reason to cheer their winning team.
Perhaps we should act like we've been here before?
After all, we aren't Oiler fans.
The Flames status is immaterial, no need for whataboutism here. Oilers are categorically and unequivocally awful and deserve every ounce of scorn and mockery directed their way
Please do this. Please. If I were going I'd join in.

Because the Flames' fortunes are better than the Oilers right now. Enjoy it. They'll do it when the tables have turned. Stick the knife in 'em while it's your turn.

As someone who has been cheering for this team since about 2003, we have hardly been here before, so why act like it? I have seen this team win the division twice now and finish at the top once. Its sports. Lets have fun. Don't gotta be all high and classy. Let the players worry about that. Lets get ruthless because we know the Oilers fans would and have done the same.

Connor as much as he's a solution is part of the problem in Edmonton as well.
While Winners get ice cream and sprinkles, people like Connor deserve nothing more then a bowl full of beef flavored tofu frozen treat.
We should be chanting "Stay there Connor" clap clap clapclapclap "Stay there Connor"
He doesn't deserve to be freed, he deserves nothing but suffering, doubt, anguish and the mental pain that not only are you there for life, but you should be punished for your lazy back checks, lame examples of leadership "Oh look at his smile" "lets go" and the fact that he wore a suit made out of sweat pant material to the all star game.
Connor needs to wake up every morning, pull back the curtains of his luxury condo or house. Look silently at the Edmonton landscape, look at his golf clubs in the corner and realize for all of his money, and fame and chicks, that he's stuck in at best medico racy for life.
This is how it should feel to be Connor McDavid . . . forever.
