Yeah he had a couple of those late. Could tell the players were trying to get it to him too, just shoot it Johnny!

Whatever, the Z in front of Flames is all that matters. Not shocked we lost at Honda with a ton of bodies sitting.

yeah, I didn't worry about the wins and losses last night. I didn't think that the Flames played with much urgency, but I kind of expected it.

I expect a full roster on Saturday.

Sit everyone (well, not everyone) on Saturday. They don't need to play. Practice hard Mon-Wed and be ready to go.

There is no such thing as a dress rehearsal for the playoffs.

Game with preseason roster went as well as a game with preseason roster was expected to go.

They can only sit up to two forwards and I rather they put the top 4 D-man back in the line-up so they don't go 2 weeks without a game. We know how well teams play after a long break, the Flames don't want Game #1 to be a disaster.

I still think if Valimaki was going to be starting in the playoffs we'd have seen him in some meaningful games down the stretch. The last two games have essentially been pre- season.

I am pretty sure during the broadcast last night someone mentioned that Fantenberg/Prout would be in there as #6 to start the playoffs. I think that Fantenberg is a safe bet as he is steady and partnered well with Andersson. He also played pretty much every game since he joined the squad, looks like the coaching staff trusts him.

I would be okay with any of Fantenberg, Valimaki or Prout being the #6. Stone had some gaffs last night and is still getting back up to speed after missing almost the whole season. Kylington isn't ready for the playoffs yet IMO.

I'd rather not have half of our roster not being in a game for like 2 weeks. Practice is practice but game speed is game speed.

Highly doubtful we'll see a full playoff roster for the Edmonton game. No need to risk possible injuries to important players in a completely meaningless game, especially if the Oilers start gooning it up, which they will. I'm betting we'll see the B squad again on Saturday.

Yeah Kylington cemented his ass to the press box with that game. Goal 1 and 2 were the direct result of his poor play and lack of strength to defend.

This is exactly my worry. We really want to risk our best players against our arch rivals who are going to be in a foul mood (including the Flames making them skate on the "Stanley Cup Playoffs" patch they put on the ice this week) and wanting to play spoiler and probably goon squad against us? Especially with guys like Lucic and Kassian out there. Don't like it at all, don't give them the chance.

Though I already know Johnny will be out there; ain't no way he's going to sit the finale sitting on 98 pts. Just please be careful out there against those idiots, boys..

I swear Getzlaf dated one of my sister's friends while playing for the Hitmen and has harbored an unrelenting hatred for our city since (Wouldn't blame him)

That or one of the staff in the arena is lacing our Jerseys with Datura since I swear every game there we look lost on the ice, I imagine he'd be doing it probably for the same reason

The problem with icing another skeleton crew on Saturday is you don't want too many guys sitting too long. We all didn't like how sluggish they looked after other long breaks and we wouldn't like it even more if they did the same for game 1.

As long as Peters monitors the game and sits out the top line if the Oilers start to get stupid I think they'll be fine. I could also see him sitting out the top line or if it's early in the game giving them limited shifts if Johnny reaches 100 points.

Especially with a decent break between the last game of the regular season and the playoffs. Anyone that's nursing minor bumps or bruises I have no issue sitting out but would like everyone else to try and keep some momentum going

If he's still holding grudges against a city because he dated a girl back in his junior days that didn't turn out well, he is a pathetic petty man.

I think whoever is still banged up will sit. Everyone 100% healthy will go.

For me Prout was the bigger liability. If that’s the last time I see him dressed for a game I could live with that.

That said, kylington Prout is our 5th pair, and Brodie May have to flip flop from side to side before either is allowed to play a playoff game.

But they are the best damn 5th pair in the league!
